Kid's Ministries
At First Pentecostal Church we believe one of the greatest areas of revival potential is among children! Over the years we have made kids a high priority in ministry. They are one of our most valuable assets. The Sunday School Department of FPC is a vibrant and fun ministry designed to inspire children to develop their relationship with God at an early age. Every Sunday morning kids meet for an exciting time. A continental breakfast is served and then students enter a time of praise and worship. Our Sunday School is designed around a Rotational Model where children rotate through a different class each week. The lesson is taught for 4-5 consecutive weeks in each class. Classes are structured to further enhance the lesson through various methods of teaching. The first Sunday of each month the kids enjoy Super Church where the lesson is introduced and memory verses are learned. The next few weeks are followed up with an art class for hands on application, a theater for visual learning, and an arcade where games are played that further reinforce the lesson. This is an exciting and engaging way to learn the Bible and FPC Kids love it! On Wednesday Night children ages 3-11 meet in the fellowship hall at 7pm. They are served a meal and then enter into a time of worship. Our Wednesday night program is designed just like Sunday morning. This an exciting time and kids don't want to miss it! One of the highlights of the year for kids ages 7-11 is going to Arkansas Kids Camp in June! Each year we host VBS! This an exciting time of outreach for our church. It is also extremely fun for the kids, and yes, even the adults! VBS offers opportunities for children to draw closer to the Lord and for adults to get involved in ministry. Why do we place such emphasis on children? Because Jesus did! We believe that the enemy places a great deal of attention on them as well. The church cannot afford to overlook them. Our ministry is compelled by a statement made by a popular author, "The devil has plans for your kids. Do you?" At First Pentecostal Church we have plans for our children to grow and excel in their relationship with the Lord! |
